History of Island Copper Mine – Brian Welchman (2nd Oct, 2017)
Brian Welchman came from Campbell River to show and make a presentation and show a video on the Island Copper Mine (“The Island Copper Story”), followed by a Q & A session.

Smokey Quartz and Amethyst Scepters at Krystal Tips Mine – Ron Zeilstra (Sept 11th, 2017)
Ron Zeilstra gave a great slide show and talk about his experiences at the invitation site Krystal Tips Mine in Nevada, USA.
A Scepter is the name for a prismatic crystal which forms with the top part protuding and wider than the rest of the crystal. More details on sceptre quartzes here.
