Field Trips General Information
Each month there is a field trip outing to a local collecting site. Mouse over the events in the calendar above for more information or check the Upcoming Events page for details on upcoming field trips. Details of upcoming field trips are also publicized at the monthly meetings and e-mailed to members who are on the club mailing list.
In general field trips happen on the 4th Sunday of each month from February through to November. Everyone meets up at a designated spot at 10am and sets off to the destination. In non-Covid times car pooling may be available. The end time for field trips is very flexible, but tends to be around 3pm, though you are free to leave whenever you want. It’s often advisable to bring a packed lunch.
If you take photos on a field trip or would be happy to write a paragraph about your experience on the trip, please send them by email to web@vlms.ca – we are always looking for news articles for the news page. Write-ups by junior members are also most welcome, and they may enjoy seeing their work published.
You can contact the field trips leader (wagonmaster) by email: fieldtrips@vlms.ca

Please Note – You have to be a VLMS member or BCLS Member to attend field trips for Insurance reasons
